This picture shows my custom cold air intake. Well, actually it shows the aluminum shield. The shield was hand cut and bent.
This is a different angle of the cold air intake shield. You can see how it was cut to fit my K&N filter.
The cut is a little off now, because when I put my HID bulbs in, I was forced to modify my K&N mounting brackets.
Here is a better picture and I replaced the high pressure vacuum hose with some aluminum 3in flexible
dryer hose. Talk about tight fit... It took me a little while to shape the hose to fit through the existing hole.
I replaced the flex hosing.. It is easier to see.
This picture was taken so that you can see the flex hose coming up from the front and into the filter area.
I will try to take a clear picture of the front of my car so that you can see how I cut out the front area for the pipe.
I will actually be changing the hose, from a high pressure vacuum hose to a aluminum dryer hose.
This should be more flexible and allow me to fit more of the hose into the air filter area.
As you can see I changed it.
