Under
Water Digital Pictures - OAHU
What
else do I like to do when I am not playing with the car? Scuba diving and
underwater
digital
photography with my new wife.
These
pictures were taken with my Canon S300 Digital Camera and Canon WP-DC100
Underwater Case.
I
have not altered the pictures in any way, and I did not use any kind of external
flash or strobes.

Here
is Wendy blowing bubbles. Hard to get a picture of her when she is not
exhaling!!! |
Bunch
of fish came to greet us as we started our decent. |
Odd
looking fish with the Mahi, WWII Mine Laying Ship wreck behind. |
Here
is a picture of the ship wreck from the deck. This about 80 feet deep and
at the bottom of the boat it is 95 feet deep. |
Here
is Wendy going through part the inside of the wreck |

Throwing
out a Shakka in the Hawaiian spirit. |
I
think this is an Eagle Ray. He was coming right at me, until I pulled out
the camera. There he goes... |
On
our way to the next dive site we came across a school of spinner dolphins. |
Some

heading
out. |
Our
next dive site was through some lava caverns. Here is Wendy coming though
one of the arches. |
We
found a sleeping reef shark. |
I
tried to swim in for a closer shot. |
Tried
to get even closer so the back scatter of the sand in the water would not
reflect the flash back at the camera. |
I
have no clue what this is, but it was pretty cool. It was also pretty
long. |
Here
are a few others in our group. |
Little
fish about 40 feet deep. |
Found
an Octopus. |
We
got to hold the Octopus. |
Here
is Wendy holding the Octopus. |
Our
guide has the Octopus stuck to his mask. |
This
was a big green starfish like thing that was sitting on some coral. |
Here
is a close up of the underside. |
We
found a sea turtle in one of the caverns. |
I
was getting a lot of back scatter. |
Went
in for a closer shot. Flash brought out better color. |
Here
he/she is for a candid. |
Gave
me the candid and decided to go on its way. Can't follow because they are
protected. |
